to the Open Ear Center (OEC). The OEC specializes in educating healthcare
professionals and laypersons in the use of sound and music to facilitate
the healing process. Our techniques have proven effective in the
fields of health and education, and we continue to investigate new
cross-cultural applications internationally each year.
OEC offers educational programs,
trainings,
workshops and
international intensives.

select materials currently being used in a variety of settings.
One of our core programs, since 1994, is the the Open
Ear Listening Program (OELP). We facilitate both the Tomatis
Method and Listening Fitness Training Programs (LiFT) for auditory
stimulation and reeducation of the ear for adults and children.
The center's
director, Pat Moffitt
Cook, Ph.D., is an international teacher, clinician, author and pioneer
in the use of crosscultural sound and music in healing, wellness and education.
