| | The Open Ear Programs are auditory training interventions, consisting of programs grounded in the Tomatis Method and the Listening Fitness Program (LiFT).
Since 1991, we have worked nationally with children and adults offering ongoing programs in the Tomatis Method of auditory stimulation and the Listening Fitness Training Program, a Tomatis-based class and/or home monitored program.
Initial assessments are necessary to participate in these programs. Consultations for home and outreach classroom programs are offered at different times during the the year. | | | | Structure | The Tomatis Method takes place in a classroom for those who need daily onsite observation by a specialist. Each onsite program is carefully monitored by a trained educational staff.
Each session has two Phases and includes specialized equipment, tailored daily listening programs, and trained listening therapists who monitor each client's progress over a 12-week period, with regular testing and consulting. The home monitored program is conducted at home with follow-up testing and takes place over a 12-week period. |
| | | Listening Center Programs | The Tomatis Method is offered in Dallas and Houston, TX and varied outreach sites at different times each year. Email the Dallas Listening Center for 2010-2011 programs dates.
The OEC, in conjunction with the Dallas Listening Center, is an authorized provider of the Tomatis Method and Listening Fitness Training Programs designed for the development and enhancement of listening skills and the reeducation of the ear. |
